The desire to escape, to flee, to seek freedom, to love, to run, to turn about, to sing, to exude, to get beyond that obstacle, to break out and shout: "Here I am!"
The need to grow, to stretch, to learn, to reach out beyond the bars, beyond the stars, to caress the air, the autumn leaves, to run the finger tips over her soft hair, to kiss her slowly, longingly, forever.
Loneliness. Wilting. The slow but constant wilting. The inevitable. The other side of the wall we shall never see.
