Apple has a new cook: Tim Cook takes over Steve Jobs's job

A Job for a Cook. Steve Jobs, a college dropout who co-founded a high-tech company in a garage 35 years ago, steps down due to deteriorating health and gives the helm of Apple to Tim Cook, the son of a retired shipyard worker, who has sold or accumulated upwards of $136 million in Apple shares. One of the world’s richest companies, ranked 75 on Forbes’ list of the top 500 U.S. companies, Apple’s revenues surpass fifty billion... So far nothing unusual, except the fabulous wealth involved. What’s the scoop? Reuters immediately began to ask insinuating questions about Cook’s sexual preferences and Gawker Media went even further, calling the new CEO "the most powerful gay man in America." Why is the media so concerned about the sexuality of executive leaders? Are there not other questions of greater importance?
