A Bus, Buenos Aires and God only Knows What Lies in Wait

    One of the pleasures Buenos Aires exhibits are its wall paintings, some vestiges of times of struggle and social conflict, others the product of ingenuity. Perhaps we might also interpret these paintings, drawings, scribblings and sloganeering as a sort of throw-back to one of the first forms of journalism, which appeared on the walls on Rome when the empire was busy consolidating its power...

     Here's one on Mexico street, not far from the colonial district of San Telmo. If we were to go back in time, perhaps the wall was a witness to the English invasions of Buenos Aires at the birth of the 19th century...
